Many players come and go, 1000’s have played for Sunderland. And many who have played before were better than the ones we have now. And yet, this squad is special. Since we were promoted back to The Championship, I have found myself routing for the players much more than ever. And not just because they play for Sunderland. I genuinely wish players like Bellingham & Rigg the best careers. Getting to see them so young and raw, realising their potential is incredible. And then you have Luke O’Nien, the most appearances ever at the SOL, who would die for the club. We the fans are so lucky to have a team like this playing for our club. And they are making us believe anything is possible.
I loved the pile on after Jobe scored. Like you say might not be the best players we’ve had, but they are best we have had in a long while, and improving. The togetherness in the squad is something special, that’s clear to see.
Spot on, ever since KS has come in I've found not only is he signing players with great potential but ones that get the club. Now he hasn't got all his signings right but he's hit more times than not I just look at how buzzing we all were for Amad last weekend. All these players get the club and I wish all of them nothing but the best in their careers (hopefully most will stay and have a great career with us)
Rusyn looked out of it as if he felt uncomfortable and didn't know what to do. Feel sorry for him actually
Agreed. It's a proper team. They watch out for each other, revel in each other's successes and put it all in. No more will ever be asked from me. It is amazing the difference a proper owner makes. A good few teams, roughly our level, have endured endless years or protracted agony, inflicted by a succession of grifting, impecunious owners on the make. We had one set, and it could have been so much worse. Unimaginably worse. KLD knows what he is doing . All I want is for us to be what we can be, and he is giving us a chance to do that.
Aye hadn’t worked out for the lad. Don’t feel too sad for him though mate, he will have been paid money beyond his dreams and he will have a decent career back on the continent. Lads not a bad player, just a bad fit.
