was the chant at the end of the Torquay v Shrewsbury game this afternoon.Felt quite surreal after hearing the usual chant of"we are staying up" at Home Park after getting some kind of result.Excellent game of football today, end to end the whole game, the Gulls on an amazing run now and only 3pts off the top and apparently have the best form in the whole of the football league.Despite this I walked out of the ground with a couple of pissed off Torquay fans bemoning a crowd of only 2,500 or so with a good away attendence. So we are second from bottom and fighting for league survival-but with bloody marvellous support that Exeter and Torquay would die for.Thoughts anyone?

Absolutley at the moment if only Argyle could play like the men in yellow shirts at Home Park, we would have the football, the ground and the atmosphere and support. Can only dream, rather go to Home Park any day.

We SHOULD be better really, bigger club, bigger city, more passionate fans, it's just that we have been put through the mill by our previous owners which will take several seasons to put right. We are better than L2, that's not being arrogant - we just are. I believe that a city the size of ours we should be at least championship and we were before the crap hit the fan.

James Brent at the recent fans trust meeting said the clubs ambitions were to get back to the championship, all quite meaningless given our current lowly position.

Typical bloody woman. Size doesn't matter Mrs lalala. The reason for our poor position is 100% down to the off field exploits of our previous glorious Board and nobody else. Had it not been for the gross mismanagement then we would not have been talking about this subject now of that I'm sure. But, it has nothing to do with previous achievements or support base. It has got everything to do with the side you are made to play with and your results which often go hand in glove. Look what happened to Man City, Leeds, Norwich, Fulham etc etc previously. Can't say they haven't been up there and down there also but maybe not as far as we fell. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Torquay for some reason. Perhaps it's because they achieve without ever having a hope of resources. Climb, fall and climb back again and there always seems to be a passion about them. I really hope they make automatic promotion genuinely and if it can be at the expense of Crawley then so much the better.

Felt quite positive there today despite the insipid support, good performance, good win and the new steelwork for the new stand rising into the sky.

Nothing arrogant about it, it is a fact we are a bigger club and city, I mean you only have to compare Sid James' park with Home Park - no comparison.

I've never liked the "bigger" tag given to one club above another but there are certainly facts that do show differences. Compared to Exeter we are a bigger City. That's a fact as the national statistics bare out. Support base is bigger as is also born out by football league statistics. Add one to the other and statistically Argyle should be not bigger than but in a higher position in football than Exeter. We don't necessarily deserve to be better off than either of our Devon rivals. You get a position in the hierachy by virtue of the performances you put in and the way your club is managed financially. We have not been financially managed well and as a consequence the performances on the field have sufferred greatly so one leads the other. It cannot be arrogance to state facts as facts are based on truth which is proved. So, we ought to be higher than Exeter. Pity about the rest of the story however.

Torquay win again tonight so they will be on song again no doubt. I hope they make it. They could pass Exeter going the other way unless they turn themselves around as they are not too far above the danger zone. We huff and puff on as usual.

Looking at the table again today makes depressing reading, the only thing that can save us, is getting together a run,but we are too inconsistent.Sadly my gut feeling is that we won't do it.As you say we huff and puff-a point a game won't do.
