He's picking the same formation as Rafa, but with no apparent plan. It's horrible to watch, actually embarrassing. We all knew it was coming, though - that's Steve Bruce, he's not going to suddenly become a compatent manager after 20 years or so of abject failure. Got to be a complete change in tact. We used to say under Rafa 'would you rather be cavalier and get humped 4-0 or play dirge and scrape the odd draw/survive?". Well, we're now in that horrible position where the football is dirge regardless and we're being outplayed. We WILL go down doing this, and it'll be torturous to watch. Bruce is from the 90's - he'd be better off digging out Entertainer videos, reverting to 4-4-2, stick Carroll/Joelinton up top, get wingers wide, crosses in from wings/full back and try to score ****ing goals.
Too soon to say but why everyone was expecting more is beyond me ! I knew before a ball was kicked we are a relegation candidate and 17th would do. We got another season of rough fixtures first quater.
