Just picked up a rumour on football forums.net that Wolves are putting a bid of 6 million on the table with the possibility of Vokes or Leigh Griffifths coming to AG............we have done well with Wolves in the past so who knows eh?
I don't see why he want to join Fester as he wants to play in the prem and Fester aren't even their or even close
thats what we are offering 6.2million up front + 750,000 adds on. should i come and pick him up now???
If Wolves are interested I think Terry Connor is still there as assistant who worked with John Ward at City. Perhaps he'll play a role..................
Yawn, heard it all before! (is there a yawn smilie?) Hope you do offer that though then a proper club will come in and up the game!
Tell you what foxes - we will willingly sell Nicky to you and all City supporters will wish him the best of luck. Perhaps if we had a manager who understood the game he may well have stayed longer but, as usual, our lack of forward thinking means we will have to let him go. Here's the deal I would propose: Sign Nicky with our best wishes to all parties but you have to take Keith Millen and about 5 more of our underperformers. DEAL?
The Mighty Reds need to offload Nicky as the odds of him resigning look less and less with every game. It would be mental to lose out on the money for the sake of keeping a player for one more year. He looked lazy against Pompy last week, I know he is not a "one up top" kind of player but he didnt touch it for 90 minutes. If the one man in your one man team under performs then you might as well sell him and use the wonga.
Well it looks like you've been told to do one for a 4th time.... http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/MAYNARD-SVEN-TARGET/story-13206988-detail/story.html
Millen's signings : Woolford,Stead,Pitman,Taylor,Bolasie, and NK. How many will make our starting 11 at Donny? Possibly Junior Mk2 ! (ok - I know he's better than Junior) So I don't want any more Millen signings.
To be fair to our board they are holding their nerve on this one! I would love to know what their "end game" is here? Is it about bumping up the price and taking the cash as we get nearer to the transfer deadline or are we (or should I say SL) prepared to have him for a season and lose him on a Bosman? Maybe they think he will sign a new contract with a Premiership release clause? I would love to know what their strategy is (hope they have one!!)
The problem with 'bumping the price up' is that it will only work until next wednesday. After that you will have to hope that NM signs a new contract. The next transfer window (January) will see him with 6 months left and his price will be significantly slashed. I persoanlly have no idea what your board are doing, if the 6-6.5Million offer rumours are to be beleived - thats huge money!
