I haven't read the thoughts from last night.
I was there and its .....

That said I do think we have a skilful team - the majority of the player at least - far more than in recent years
We just need to make it click.
At times the passing was slick
They are happy on the ball even if lacking in confidence currently

Our more than averagely skilful for the championship players are
Robinson (hopefully when he gets fitter he will not back off from the wingers and stop the crosses coming in)
Hall - gets better every game
    Lynch
    Perch - has skills
So 4 of our back 5 are happy on the ball
    Luongo
    Sandro
    Chery

If we had a striker (BFG)who could win/keep the ball or do anything at all and a 2nd striker who had better control pace and strength (Washington) and ever looked like doing any damage

Then I think we could click and start looking good

Lets sell Caulker and pay Crouch's salary for 2 years with it

No doubt there is potential but Wolves were far better with their touch said before you could tell even on the warm up
They were a lot slicker moving the ball imo and they look like a poor team so where does that put us st the moment?

I would say about 10 teams away from any mild chance of a play off

But it can all change but loads of work to do

Until the sending off I thought we had it about right all over the pitch other than up front where it's clear that Washington isn't going to cut it at this level and Polters 100% effort isn't always enough. I enjoyed half an hour of skillful football last night and it's some time since I could say that.

    Definitely this
Before Perch going off I thought that we looked OK, but without really troubling the Wolves keeper
I doubt that we'll get money to spend in January though and fully expect to see JET back from loan and at least on the bench

I'm not saying we were any good
I'm saying we can knock it around ok now and the back and middle and it breaks down when we get in the final third
There is less to fix than we might imagine
Nothing £50million of strikers wouldn't put right

Mmmm. We have some reasonably skilful players. Hall impressed me most. What we haven't got is back bone. Too soft. Not enough drive, determination and certainly no penetration. We couldn't burst our way out of a wet paper bag. Polter was the biggest disappointment for me last night. Looked very cumbersome.

Hall looks good bringing the ball out of defence - a little reminiscent of Glenn Roeder.
