I'm convinced we are heading down.

Let's look at known facts, not potential takeovers.

Will Fatty invest what's needed off his own back?
    Nope.

Will we end the transfer window with a squad capable of keeping us up?
    Nope.

Is Rafa likely to leave due to constant broken promises and yet again being shafted by the fat man who doesn't give him the tools to do the job?
    Yep.

When we go down this time, it will be for a long long time.

We wouldn't be in this position if Benitez had been sacked after the first game of the season.

We wouldn't be in the premiership to even be in the position if he hadn't been appointed in the first place Jim.

Who trusts Rafa enough to sort this mess out even with a healthy transfer budget?

People need to get over this Benitez love in and realise he's got it wrong too many times. If he'd been anyone else his position would be under intense scrutiny and quite rightly so.

Would you ask a builder to build you a house with just basic sand foundations Jim? Honest question?

My point is... he cannot build a stable house without the correct foundations. Even pep or Jose would struggle.

The Mackems hire and fire for fun. We ain’t them and need to give him time to turn things around.

If the takeover happens we will strengthen and climb, as Rafa has the opportunity to build a premiership team then. Look back at Rafa’s interviews... he’s seething that Mike has lied to him and not let him sign the players he wants. We had deals in place according to Shearer for two top players.. only for the rug to be pulled.

If we don’t get taken over we are back to square one with fatty and will go down as we will buy more championship players for the Premiership which doesn’t work.

Right now we are technically two wins away from the top 10. Playing **** football yes, but with a **** squad you need to do whatever is necessary to stay up.

IF we manage to avoid the drop then with investment over a few windows our style will change for the better. Look at Burnley for a good example of a team slowly building and sticking with their manager...

    Me.

Our squad this year is actually worse than last year at the moment, ie I'd rather have Gouffran than Joselu and I'd rather have Anita than Manquillo.

However I do think money will be invested properly if it does come in, i.e. Rafa wanted Abraham, who would have done a good job, but ended up having to make do with Joselu, a Stoke reserve.

Part of the problem is that Rafa doesn't have the right players for the way he wants to play. He likes a tight defence with quick counter attacks. We don't have the players to pull that off. I think if he is given the money then he will bring the right people in.

Hang on though, what about the 37m he spent in the summer and the 57m last summer. So we’ve given him 94m to make us worse year on year? Is that not a bit of a concern about Rafa rather than the regime? The ****er couldn’t build a garden shed nevermind a house by the looks of his transfer business so far.

Honest question. If we had given Chris Hughton or Alan Pardew supported by Graham Carr 94m over the last two summer windows do you think we’d have a better team performing better than we have now? I can say I think we’d have got promoted in better fashion than we did and we would have a better team performing better.

I have never said he was perfect. I mean, i am a bit dubious of someone that never played football at the highest level tellung someone like Cristiano Ronaldo how to strike a football properly.

I would also be inclined to listen to someone like Steven Gerrard who has slated his man management skills. Whilst his managerial record is impressive there are some massive red flags. His transfer record for one. But we can only wait and see.

Indeed but he stayed and it's the best we can hope for... Keeper, left back number ten and a proven striker was his request and he got what

Fuk all apart from broken promises and lies if I was him I would of walked.

Were you there when he requested this? In reality I know he sanctioned spending his entire budget in a **** striker, two wingers, a centre half, a **** right full back.

I keep looking at the table trying to work out who the bottom 3 will be and I just can't see past us for that 3rd slot right now
