Under Lambert! It's a weird little quirk but we always manage to get complete vengeance if we ever come unstuck, it's happened so many times under his Examples League One Colchester beat us heavily - We beat Colchester Heavily, take manager and all good players Leeds Beat us at their place after a strong Norwich Display - We beat them in the last minute at Carrow Road effectively securing promotion Relegated at charlton - Promoted at Charlton Championship Derided for getting relegated by Ipswich fans - Beat them 9-2 over 2 legs Grant Holt sent off unjustifiably against Reading for poor Ref and Ian Harte theatrics - Grant Holt scores in the last minute to beat Reading after beating Ian Harte to the ball Warnock criticises our player/s - Beaten them every time since Portsmouth beat us with cocky display at Carrow Road - Promoted at Portsmouth Leeds convinced of promotion - No promotion and took their best players Robbie Savage milks Derby fans support Norwich vs derby to waste time - Simeon Jackson wins it seconds later Premier League West Brom beat us 1-0 at home - we beat them twice in a row in consecutive weeks Swansea celebrate wildly after beating us 3-0 - Premier League double Possible Future Justice Stoke/Ipswich Jonathan Walters dives outside the box, gets a penalty - ????? MK Dons hammer us in the League Cup - ???? Miss chances to win vs ManU - ????
I think that's down to Holt's leadership, rather than Lambert, (though i'm sure Lambert encourages it). Holty does revenge well! He could hardly contain his glee in his post match interview.
Like this I think we can beat man Utd lets ensure we keep going and even if go 2-0 down we must all sing our belief that we will win 3-2! Come on Holty your chance to show Shriek that you are the true Englands No 9!
good article beefy. its something i'd noticed as well, this team just seems to respond to disappointment in a way that i've not seen from a city team before. they never let it get them down and they always bounce back bigger and stronger
Just remembered another one Walsall say lambert get our game against them called off through interference - their next couple of games are called off as well - we go back and beat them anyway.
i forgot about that! i went to the original fixture which was called off (couldn't get to the rearranged one) - it was frustrating not getting to see any football but the way walsall dealt with the pitch and the aftermath (could be described as an awful lot of hot air for both) was pretty funny and slightly pathetic. serious case of small club mentality...
I thought about this the other day too. Also, does the record that no one has done the double over Lamebert's Norwich still stand?
I think so too.But then I had Swansea v Norwich down as a home win too.A draw against Man U would suit me fine - followed by a 95th minute winner against Man City. BTW,for that one, will we be having a rerun "Let's be 'avin you" for old times sake?
I'd noticed this trend too, but I can't see it keep on continuing. Perhaps growing up under Hamilton/Ricoh has given me a sense of constant doom, but the last two seasons have litterally been too good to be true.
That would be good. A 95th min equaliser would be brill, especially if it's an a la millwall throw in from McNally!
