The ban on fans going to football or folks to pubs will spell the end for many traditional boozers. Too many have gone from SE7 already. Many years ago I often went to The Valley pub on Elliscombe Road. Now long gone of course.

It's really good to hear the Royal Oak on Charlton Lane has been saved

 

Great pre match boozer, cheeky garden.

I hope it survives!

 

They locked me in there once after the 1998 play off final - it was terrible two day hangover

 

Have been going there before and after every game with @Miketyson2007isback for about the last ten years.

It's my favourite **** pub - I'll miss the inconsistent pricing for the same pint, the half broken TVs and the dodgy karaoke. Could do with a lick of paint and pints that aren't Fosters though.

 

By the time you get to the bar you give up worrying about what lager it is and how much it costs !

 

Trust in the black stuff .... Guinness extra cold is your friend
