At half time during the Sunderland game bumped into a City fan from Swindon behind the upper Lansdown who gets in the Merlin and watches the game with us when on TV - totally unplanned - had no idea he was going. Flying lesson today (first one) in Marlborough and it turns out my Instructor is a die hard fan who was also there in the upper Lansdown - obviously we didn’t know each other then but will look out for each other from now on. Small world!
It’s a case of confronting my demons to a point. I am afraid of flying so I thought learning to fly might help. Yesterday was only an introductory one-off session and I took the controls for all of 5 mins, but a massive adrenaline rush nonetheless. Not very expensive via Groupon - my Christmas present from Mrs R&W. I’m definitely going to have more lessons in the future. Fantastic views of Avebury and Silbury Hill.
