I think France by two goals. Not sure who I want to win. Generally, and going against my wider world views, I prefer the World Cup to remain elitist, so I don't like new countries winning it (sort of makes me a bit jealous too). Furthermore, they've been 'acting hard' since they beat us. But also, whilst I'm not anti-French (nor anti anybody), I don't like the idea of them winning it again and one more time than us.
When Jocks or Paddies are spouting it would be nice to point out a country with a smaller population than theirs are World Cup holders, so I would be happy with a .Croatia win. Smaller population than Yorkshire as well. Maybe Yorkshire should declare independence then ny prediction, which has been correct since 1966, that England wouldn't win the Wo5ld Cup again until they had a Hull City player in the team will come true.

Can see your point, but in those terms, the achievements of said Croats, Iceland etc already well put this into perspective. Isn't Scotland the home of the second oldest FA too? There's real doubt whether they'll ever qualify for a World Cup again, unless they continue to expand it. That said, they probably won't qualify for the Euros either - which you have to be particularly hatstand or ****e to not qualify for these days.
Really don't mind who wins, I think the French should have enough to beat the Croatian's, but one never knows. Sometimes the luck goes with you, having seen now the toe end the keeper got on Kane's narrow-angle attempt, their name might just be on the cup.
