I see that West Brom have sacked their Chairman and Chief Exec. Careful what you wish for Baggies fans. Pulis is a better manager than Pardew IMO, so making the change that these lads made has got the Club and themselves where they belong. Just goes to show that changing managers all of the time ain't always the way forward.....Mr Short Rumour has it that Jonny Evans gets a £3m transfer if they are relegated too - OUCH
There are hints in 'The Press' that what's left of their board might use the 'Taxi Nicking' episode to sack Pards. His record since replacing Pulis is not good, and the hoped for bounce went flat. Pity for their Fans. They were looking like an established Prem team then along comes the sort of blip that most clubs suffer, and their board, no doubt under the impression that they had earned a God given right to a Prem place, panicked. There's a lesson there, but you can bet your life that it won't be noticed by the average Football Director. (See Chapter 8 of Len's book).
I still find it hard to believe that a club would sack Pulis and actually think Pardew is a step forward.....Priceless.
****ing bellends. They should do time for nicking a taxi and driving it drunk. I know people who've been done for far ****ing less. Livermore is a serial offender waste of space ****. Barry is passed it and to be fair it shakes his dull as **** image but he's not worth his wage. Evans is worth 10m so they'll conveniently forget about it. I don' even know who the other **** is. Good luck pardew
Shocking isn’t it. They just get to step forward like a bunch of naughty school boys put on a face and ‘sorry’
These four seem to typify today's footballer, too much money, too little brains and an attitude that they can do what they like. As for the club, I've never minded Albion, but it seems that the people at the top now are a lot like our Mr Short - loads of money and clueless about how to run a football club. I honestly think that football in general is in decline despite the shed loads of TV money being thrown at the game. It just enables the rich clubs to get richer and leaves everyone else as also rans....pity really.
The Press are speculating that Evans has a clause in his contract that he can move for £3mil if WBA are relegated. So some team might be getting a bargain but this silly episode has done nothing for his image.
Evans and Barry apparently starting today, with Livermore on the bench. Pardew really is ****ing gutless, any rhetoric about behaviour but he can't even handle seasoned professionals. Can't expect anything different from a manager who headbutts opposition players.
