Very odd team selection tonight, some big names have been dropped. Will be interesting to see how we do
Interesting line up, clearly resting players for Saturday, however great to see 7 academy players in the squad
I'm just about to watch the game live on Sportsnet World. Looking forward to it so much and it will be interesting to read the post match comments on not 606.
****ing dick over them please can't stand that miserable old fart that goes by the name of tony pulis
Good first half by the boys against a prem team but sadly the 2nd half showed up all our deficiencies, too slow going forward, don't get the ball in the box enough, poor final pass, give the ball away too easily, good to give the squad players a game but sad to say that Williams, Little, Wagstaff and Wilbs just not good enough, Reid needs to put on a few pounds, thought Pembo would have had them more fired up, ah let's hope we stuff Leeds on Saturday
A generally poor performance tonight and some of the heading in the back line gave me cause for concern and indeed one of them came back to doom us. The commentator made mention before the end that we are too predictable going forward and any decent opponent would have us figured out and take preventive measures to combat that weakness, and they did. I didn't think WBA looked that good but the savvy that we don't have saw them through and now we get back to the business of survival. Max O'Leary had very little to do and he wasn't at fault for their goal so to rate his performance is a bit worthless. I thought Wes Burns had a reasonable game but I found his fondness for taking on too many players, rather than passing off and going for the return, a little bit frustrating at times. The crosses we put in were weak at nearly every opportunity and the last corner of the game from Bobby Reid just highlighted the frustration felt by many I'm sure. It really doesn't bother me too much that we are out of the F.A.Cup because we have bigger fish to fry for the rest of the season. It was nice to see a good crowd, if somewhat quiet, and the often mentioned next year capacity of 27,000 made my heart skip but it will only be a factor if we survive.
-2 degrees watching football in a big deep freeze. Wish I had stayed at home was bored out my head. Mate commented it looked like a pre season friendly, a crap one. Pitch looked frozen in places under soil heating not working yet?
I think we do but it's not actually attached to power yet as far as I'm aware? Not until the new stand is finished.
The pitch has to be moved again, however undersoil heating will be installed and operating when moved.
Yeah that's partly what I meant. I'm 90% sure the pitch already has it installed as of the Desso renovation, but it needs to be installed in the new section of pitch that will be laid, as well as connected up to the power in the new West Stand. I can't see how they would install it under the currently existing pitch without ripping it up.
It was a waste of time going to WBA if there is no real intent in winning the 'replay v keeping the score down.People have more worthwhile things to do with their time than pay to watch that.
