On here, you often read about how Rooney has not met his potential, has an awful touch and some even say that him being our #10 is stopping us being a true powerhouse, rather than having a silky AMF player. I remember when Kagawa and RVP signed, plenty of people were sticking Rooney on the bench. Rooney is set to break every single goalscoring record at UTD, often from a #10 position. His 1st touch is not great, but not awful (his touch for the goal on Saturday was decent, as was his touch for the pass that was ruled offisde). He brings a huge amount of energy to every game, has a very good range of passing, has a good burst of pace, is a powerhouse and lethal from anywhere, with his left foot, right foot and head. Is it a case of "grass is greener".... looking over at other clubs who have #10s with a silky first touch and a razor sharp footballing brain? IMO Rooney is our best player and our most important player alongside RVP.

He's England's best player and you struggle without him, whereas with Lampard, he's overrated and crap like most of your players.
