    Don't get me wrong, I really like Wayne Rooney, but it begs the question does he really need the additional vast sum of money that a testimonial for him will realise ?

    Unless of course he is planning on giving it to charity ?

    Yeah footballers are so rich nowadays all 'high profile' testimonials tend to have the money going to charity.

    Yes all the money going to charity, so this is really about recognising 350+ appearances for Man U over 11 years
