Remember the bust up about TF overulling the signing? He played 12 games for Reading, was awful and is now retired. Now that was a lucky escape, especially if he wanted more than a season off us.
Well I suppose offering him stupid wages to play a quarter of a season didnt help. Signing him would have also meant no Yun too.
We certainly dodged a bullet and picked up a gem there. I see Yun was in action yesterday for South Korea in a pre World Cup friendly against Tunisia, losing 0-1, playing the full 90 mins. The World Cup will provide him with some good conditioning in preparation for next season, when I sincerely hope he plays a significant role in our squad. SEOUL, South Korea (AP) â Kim Jin-su has been ruled out of South Korea's World Cup squad due to an ankle injury. The Korea Football Association announced Thursday that Park Joo-ho will join the 23-man squad to replace the 21-year-old Kim, a Japan-based left back who has played nine internationals since Hong Myung-bo took over as head coach last year. The 27-year-old Park, who has recovered from a foot injury that contributed to his omission from the original squad, is coming off a successful season in Germany with FSV Mainz 05. QPR's Yun Suk-young played 90 minutes at left back in Wednesday's disappointing 1-0 home defeat by Tunisia. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...in-su-ruled-out-of-korean-wcup-squad/9704217/
That was one of the surreal moments of the last two seasons. Having the commentators talking about the Brazilian Goalie playing for QPR! Be great to hear QPR mentioned, hopefully, as part of their commentary if he gets to play.
