Is on Harry Redknapps wanted list I see but their owners are stalling on allowing him to make signings Bridge is available on a free transfer though not sure what his wage demands would be like He was excellent for Brighton last season and would be a great addition for us, but like I say wages would be an issue with FFP
He would be a big plus at this level - markedly better than Konch ... one in one out would do me - but off-loading Konch on his wages could be problematic.
Radio this morning (TalkSport) says Redknapp is keen to bring Wayne Bridge to QPR ... and I heard an interview yesterday where he said that Julio-Cesar, Traore and Bosingwa were all likely to go - suspect bridge's wages compared to any of them will be a 'saving'.
QPR need to shift more wages than we do! Its pretty obvious that harry doesn't want to be there, cause all hes doing at the moment is moaning.
Who in the right mind would sign Jose Bosingwa. He is on about 60K a week and he is ****. He walked off the pitch laughing when they got relegated
I'm never been very convinced by Bridge personally, could never see how he got games at Chelsea and Man City. I'm happy with our current full-backs right now, I don't speculate on wages or anything. If we're signing anyone it has to be an understudy to Konch, Bridge is too old.
What ? He needs to go & go now. Our DEF was a problem last season (well the 2nd half of it anyway) We need to keep KS & WM & get the best DEF´s that want to play in the npower for a club that WILL go up next season (imo) because, like last season, it will be the diff between going up or staying in the npower for another season. Maybe 1 or 2 others in other positions added to what we have & we will be well up there.
All about opinions kiddo - would be surprised if there is much of an age difference between Bridge and Konch - and Bridge is far superior as a player IMHO - and as the respective number of England caps would also suggest
What I mean is that if we do get rid of Konchesky, I don't see the point in signing Bridge; I think he'd be much the same. His heart wouldn't be here and his wages would be comparable at least.
FMF - Brighton fans appear unanimous in their praise for Wayne Bridge this season ... solid defensively, still quite quick, good passer and excellent crosser ... now where do we start with Konch ... combative ... If we had a theoretical back four of Bridge, Dunne, Morgan and De Laet I don't think there would be a better one in the league this season ... IMHO
Yes - heard on the radio this morning that they were offering a one year deal ... he'll be a good acquisition IMHO.
I'd still be worried about Reading this season, Adkins is quality and I think the Premier League teams not scrapping for their parts might help them (sorry that sounded really patronising).
I think they'll be the team to beat this year. He knows the division, wont lose many players (apart from those who they want rid of) and have plenty of backing to add quality to their squad. Bridge is a great signing
