Days after a new road sign was defaced in north London, a huge sign featuring its original name was screwed to the wall behind.
Black Boy Lane in Tottenham was renamed La Rose Lane by Haringey Council last week, citing concerns about its racial connotations.
Just 24 hours later, black paint was splashed over the new sign and, days later, the poster appeared.
It is not known who put it up and the council has since removed it.

The council launched a consultation into the name change following the events after the death of George Floyd in the US in 2020.
It said many residents were concerned about "the impact its continued use has on black people in Haringey", but admitted "a significant number of residents of the street" objected to the idea.
It was renamed La Rose Lane after the black poet, publisher and activist, John La Rose.

So although a significant number wanted it stay they went with the minority and through it in faces of the significant ... HARRINGEY council should be ashamed at wasting residents money, likely this will go on for a long time... OH btw the small print ... formerly Black Boy Lane....

I saw this yesterday. A typical reaction from a woke, lefty Labour council who polled people's opinions and I read the only, and very few objections raised were by a few Asian people. Yet they of course still went ahead the same as Rees and renaming stuff here that he doesn't have the power to meddle in
Wait for this though - There are 2 theatres in Canada that are showing black history films to black only audiences. White people are not invited and if they show up, they won't be prevented from watching the films, but nor will they be welcomed.
People like this in Haringey, Canada, Bristol and a load of other places are causing totally unnecessary divisions where none exist, and they need to be pulled up on it because they are the racists !

this is all to do with "seeming to do right" its a shame more people do not stand up against it ... OH of course there is the fear if you do you are racist ... one thing that bugs me is my bank ... how it uses pictures to advertise its on line pages ....
