The more I look at this the more convinced I am that Schmeichel should not have gone for the cross. Rushing back after not getting it meant he could only dive one way, whereas if he'd left the cross he would have been in the centre of the posts. Irrelevant now but wondered if anyone else agrees?
I think he, like I did, expected Hogg to aim for goal with his header. I think it's clear to see he set himself up for that.
There was no way he knew that Hogg was going to tap it back, he was looking to block the header, tbh, it was our defenses fault for not holding a line in front of Kasper.
Not saying he can have stopped the goal, but I wish Morgan had got up after he made that sliding block. He laid there for what felt like ages while Watford passed it around. In reality he may not have had time to make it back to the goal-line but I wish he'd at least tried.
I just wish someone had stopped the counter attack with a tactical foul. take a booking. I also wish Knocky had put his foot through the penalty. never mind, onwards and upwards.
I agree - posted on another thread that Kasper had a bit of a rush of blood - however, can't blame him for that because he kept us in the competition with his saves over the two legs. Lots of 'fs' 'buts' and 'maybes' - but whilst it is gutting to miss out in that manner, it is difficult not to concede that the better team (over the last 3 games against them tbf) went through over the two legs Time to put it all behind us and move on.
What if Knockhert scored? What if we managed to sign Jelavic? What if Junior Lewis was as good as Messi? What's done is done - let it go.
