Funny game this one. Ask most Watford fans who, aside from the top 5, they'd most like to beat this season and I suspect Everton, Palace and Bournemouth will feature on many lists. It's the beauty of football - grudges are pretty much mandatory. Whatever we may think of some of their players, and for a club this size to stay in the Premier league for four consecutive seasons is pretty incredible and there's lots to admire about Eddie How. I will update this but my phones about to die and I promised to do this thread but events intervened. Enjoy the game wherever you are in the world. COYH
I'm thinking 7 points from the next three is very very possible. Ten games and on 20 points would set us up nicely. But I do hold a grudge against them. And I hope we put them to the sword. But I'd take a penalty 1-0 To be honest after the way the team have been playing like a team, I'd be very annoyed if we came away with nothing. And I do think at home our forwards should be able to break them down. Wish I could be there but trust those that are (you lucky peeps) will make the Vic a most inhospitable place for Howe's guys. C'mon u'orns.
We seem to have started slowly at home, but not away. I don't think we can afford to start this game slowly, especially if their game against Palace on Monday is any indication.
That looks a strong starting 11 to me but what might be more impressive is the bench. Of course, I hope by the time we call on the bench it is all done and dusted. But I wouldn't worry about any of them coming on at any point. I do think Bournmouth will be playing it tight and the key will be early goals for us. Is chalobah walking wounded? I'd have put him in. C'mon u'orns
Not sure what to make of this. Too many errors that's for sure. Are we being unlucky? I think we have rather created our own bad luck. Well may as well throw on the bench second half. Give Deulofeu a run out. May as well get some benefit.
Oh dear - the 2 bookings look harsh tbh but we have been poor in defence . Started quite well too . Against Bournemouth too - they will be living it up big time !
