We huffed & puffed and the wind blew the ball around. Lacking some quality this afternoon despite the efforts of all.
Lots of effort and desire from both but no quality . Defences very much on top. We were made to look pretty lightweight and they marked Dennis out of the game well
About 2000 short of full. Given the season has been effectively over for a bit, I'll take that. Very weak officiating.
I was just glad they didn't nick a goal! Got the impression their fans weren't very impressed with the negative play from them.
Yes. Because of the rail strike... ihad to get a 7.37 train from Leeds this morning and am now wending my way hi e via Sheffield and another train company for another £70.. Just very thankful Preston shooting was so poor. I realise this was my first home game since covid...
It was poor after the previous couple of games. Maybe our expectations were raised to a level that wasn't achievable. Tom hasn't lost yet, and has turned things around to a degree, but Preston showed what a Championship scrap is all about, and we couldn't break them down.

It's all part of a cunning plan for PNE. Just miss out on playoffs ,so as to avoid any chance of a season of misery next time. Can then reflect on a decent season, with hope for the next one. It didn't look like PNE actually wanted the win - particularly near the end with no urgency. Missing some key players can't have helped.
