After the shambolic goings-on last season, when your chances of seeing a home win were not good, the turnaround has been dramatic. The Vic has been the place where we have garnered our points so far, while the away form has left us almost, but not quite, amidst the top performers in the Championship. From a stop gap head coach, to one that earned a full-time contract, Tom Cleverley has been the one leading the revival. One suspects he remembers his days as a player at Old Trafford, where the man leading the team was Alex Ferguson, and TC is using the coaching techniques learned from him to develop our younger players. Gino has probably reduced his phone bill, as it seems unlikely he is going through his contact book to find another out of work coach to come in for a few months. Despite the ones on some social media sites thinking differently, and will never be satisfied, a feeling of stability has returned to the club. What is just as important is that fans can go now and feel they will be entertained. So despite fans favourite players being sold to help balance the books, at this half-way point we are at the better end of the Championship. Despite our very good home record, when we have played teams from the bottom of the division, we have been less than convincing. Our opponents from the south coast have a good home record also, but not so good away from Fratton Park. A 4-1 home win against Coventry in their last outing, but a 4-0 defeat at the home of Derby before that. Tom was far from happy about our display against Burnley, and said there will be changes. We will see what he intends Thursday Our Officials GEOFF ELTRINGHAM please log in to view this image Greg Read and Bhupinder Singh Gill Fourth Official : Paul Johnson

Afternoon' fellow Hornets, hope you are enjoying your Christmas break. Sema really must be out of favour but I cannot see why. Enjoy the game all
