WATFORD v MILLWALL Vicarage Road Stadium Monday 26th December 2022 Kick Off: 1200 noon GMT please log in to view this image The visit of Millwall on a Boxing Day would probably have lived up to its name at one time, hence the midday kick-off. Of course, these days, everyone is well-behaved and full of Christmas pudding to bring on any outrage. Watford, have begun to string a few decent results together, even if some of the performances have not impressed throughout the 90 minutes. Millwall have really not being doing well on their travels, but are only 5 points behind Watford with a game in hand. please log in to view this image Slaven Bilic must be the happier of the two coaches after João Pedro found his shooting boots in the last outing, and once again the defence kept a clean sheet. He will however be keeping his fingers crossed that no more midfielders collect injuries. please log in to view this image Gary Rowett however has no injuries, but a team that is not scoring. In three of the last four trips away from the Den they have failed to put the ball in the net. Smith took charge of the 1-0 victory over Sheffield United on the opening day of the campaign and was also in the middle for the 4-0 win at Stoke City in October. Sam Lewis and Lee Venamore are due to be the assistant referees for the midday kick-off, with Andy Woolmer the fourth official.
The only game I've been to this season was Millwall away, and because this is on Boxing day I'm going to this game too. I'm praying for a better day out this time!
Yeah, I hope you do get a better day, but I think Rowett will try and kill the game, kinda like the Hull game. Hope not, but we’ve got to put chances away.
Did you last the match? I didn't, not quite: just enough time to make sure I was on a train back to London Bridge before the majority of the Herberts arrived at the station.
I actually stayed until the final whistle, so at least got to see us hit the post. Those around me didn't last the distance, and I don't blame them at all. I actually walked to and from the ground in my shirt (as I live in that bit of London), but had no trouble whatsoever. I might not have done that if the score was closer and the match a bit more controversial though!
Slav feels the same ! Hopefully this bug going around is nothing serious . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...ting-players-watford-boss-bilic-buoyant-mood/
When we get a 3:00 o'clock Saturday I try and take in the Bermondsey Beer Mile. Otherwise it's the Market Porter at London Bridge. That night they had Siren Broken Dream Stout on draught so I made it straight back there for a couple before taking the tube back to Marylebone and home. Football aside, and one of two numpties around me, it was a good night out.

Happy Boxing Day all. We had a nice quiet day, just the two of us as normal. Just back from a brisk walk just at the sleet came on. Lots of dog walkers. Have subscribed to Hive. Eenjoy the game all. COYH.
Just sat down with cold turkey, home made bread just out of the oven, stuffing and crisps for the first half before off to the panto. Hope I dont have to shout " behind you" to our defence too much.
