The Hornets got their win-less streak stretched to 6 games with their latest 1-0 defeat at Brighton. The defeat at Amex Stadium on Saturday is their fourth on the bounce and fifth in the space of six games. Marco Silva had to deal with injuries to his key players during the recent months, which is one of the core reasons for the team’s downfall. The likes of Miguel Britos, Craig Cathcart, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Younes Kaboul and Will Hughes are all sidelined with injuries for Watford. While, the influential Troy Deeney is out with suspension. On the other hand, Leicester are coming on the back of a priceless draw against Manchester United. It was a thrilling encounter that saw the Foxes take the lead through Jamie Vardy which was undone by a double strike from Juan Mata. Leicester were then down to 10-men with Daniel Amartey seeing red with 13 minutes from coming on as a second half substitute. But, there was a lot more in the script with Harry Maguire scoring the equalizer with seconds left for the full-time result. Leicester remain win-less in their last two Premier League games, but picked four wins on the bounce prior to that. Also, the Foxes have not lost an away game in the league since losing to Manchester United at the Old Trafford on 26th August. Team News Watford have Abdoulaye Doucoure and Marvin Zeegelaar available after suspension but Troy Deeney serves the second game of a four-match ban. Will Hughes is not expected to recover in time from a hamstring injury, while Isaac Success still has a knee problem. Daniel Amartey is suspended for Leicester as a result of his dismissal for two bookings against Manchester United on Saturday. Danny Simpson sustained a hamstring injury in that game and is a doubt. WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD - ENJOY THE GAME
Cheers OFH. Nervous I guess best describes my thoughts. It will be tough but we need something. The last 6 games looked back at the beginning of November like an opportunity to harvest lots of points against teams we expected to finish below us. Now it doesn't look so easy. Suddenly I'd not only take a point but I'd celebrate it. Enjoy one and all and hopefully any excesses of yesterday will be worked off as we cheer in the golden goals. C'mon u'orns
Yesterday evening when I quickly put this together with cut and paste, I didn't read it through properly. This morning I read it, and was dismayed to see some of the bad grammar. Good job there is an edit facility.
On my way on one of the free buses laid on by the club A little bit more warning might have resulted in more of us taking up the offer. As to the game today I think it is a difficult one to call. Two in form players back today will help. Will it be enough against a resurgent Leicester city. 0-1. Alas.
Just taking the wife for lunch before the game, not feeling very confident for this fixture. Might have a couple of glasses of red if I can persuade her to drive back.
Cheek... Actually, I was too busy trying to find out how Success still had a knee problem when he had been on the bench four times recently. Did he trip over a bottle of Baileys or something?
please log in to view this image Just a bit of history while we wait. 100 years ago ....... First ladies international perhaps? More on the beeb. We could do with those tyneside goal scorers today me thinks Sorry just a bit board waiting
Gomes (GK) (C); Janmaat, Wagué, Kabasele, Zeegelaar; Doucouré, Watson; Carrillo, Cleverley, Pereyra; Richarlison. Subs | Bachmann (GK), Prödl, Holebas, Capoue, Sinclair, Okaka, Gray. Richarlison up front should be interesting - quite a few have been calling for that.
It's Boxing Day and we're all meant to be enjoying ourselves. You cannot inflict that on everyone ;-) Joking apart I chose the family option rather than football which means we will probably win in the most thrilling manner possible
Phew, that was a dash, when Mme said she had forgotten some bits for cooking. Still back and hope it is worthwhile. This one is working OK for me Yorkie. http://0dt.net/video/1399290.html
I am proud to say that l don't notice or care about such things, especially if it made perfect sense, which it did. (did I put commas in the right place?
