Watched them a few times I see no reason we can't get at least a point The obvious where are our goals coming is the usual question Maybe someone unexpected will score a screamer Wind assisted pandur goal?
Probably won't be a win given our inability to win back to back, but hopefully get a point. Incidentally this should, if all goes to plan on completion day (Tuesday) be the first game City play when I'm a Hull resident again. Hopefully a nice housewarming present to follow.
A draw would be a good result IMO, though a win not out of the question. Alzate needs to be back starting and Lincoln deserves a start.
We're playing Watford on Tuesday and it's 3 points a game! Maybe just leave the pep talk for the actual manager, 'Syd'.
My fault. I forget that foreign types may appear foolish when discussing English words with multiple meanings. It must be tricky for those without a thorough grasp on the language. For future reference, 'pep' is short for peppermint, and 'pep talk' is a derivative of the phrase 'peppermint talking', which refers to managers who have had one too many chewing gums. As in, 'that'll be the peppermint talking'.
As another foreigner my understanding of a ‘pep talk’ was that it derived from pepper and a pep talk would energise someone or a group of people. Anyway hope the pep talks work for when I am over for the PNE game
I'm hoping I'm not being double wooshed (in that I thought Off The Line was taking the mic and he was actually being serious).
I have a weird gut feeling this might be a big win. I’m going 3-0. Pandur is playing brilliantly and I can see us nicking two goals from set pieces.
Before Saturday we were bemoaning how we never score from set pieces, our CH's never score, we hardly ever score headers, etc. So maybe we spend today and tomorrow bemoaning how an attacker never scores a hat trick for us?
