Indeed, Watford have suffered a top-flight record 11 consecutive defeats on their own patch, and only Rochdale have ever lost more in English football - 14 in a row in the Third Division between 1931 and 1932 - and their chances of breaking such a streak are not all that high against a rejuvenated Everton side. Taking 10 points from the last 15 on offer in the division has allowed Everton to clamber out of the dreaded drop zone and into the safety of 16th spot - one point clear of Burnley and Leeds United with a game in hand - but the job is far from complete for Lampard's men. Victory at the King Power saw Everton halt a seven-game losing run away from home in the Premier League, but they are now without a clean sheet in 18 on the road and could have done without two fresh defensive injury concerns before meeting a Watford side ready to play with the shackles off. Team News Tom Cleverley and Samir were both forced off with knocks in the loss to Palace and have joined Juraj Kucka, Joao Pedro and Imran Louza in the infirmary, while Cucho Hernandez is unlikely to return just yet either. Kamara took the walk of shame for two bookable offences and will serve his suspension this week. Lampard was dealt two blows with Mykolenko and Yerry Mina both being forced off with injuries in the win over Leicester, but the Toffees boss is hopeful that the former is only suffering from cramp. However, Mina lasted 18 minutes before being withdrawn with a calf problem, so Michael Keane is on standby, while Donny van de Beek, Ben Godfrey, Nathan Patterson and Andros Townsend remain out of contention. Our Officials Referee: Mike Dean. Assistants: Darren Cann, Dan Robathan. Fourth official: Andy Madley. VAR: Michael Oliver. Assistant VAR: Sian Massey-Ellis. It is time for a home win: Let it be!
Of greater interest might be the attendance at the match - fans seem to have suffered enough already and may stay away in large numbers, hopefully sending a strong message to the owners.
Reading that little lot I'm pleased I decided not to go to the game and gave up my seat. There was a fair bit of agro when they won 3-2, and that was in the UGT. I have taken myself out of the equation and I will check the result late. My non-attendance has nothing to do with Watford and everything to do with everton and their travelling fans.
A lot would say some of those have been missing on the pitch anyway ! Sarr and Dennis not being played as we need to flog them in the summer ?
Let's go out in style and stretch our losing run at home to 12 games! We need Everton in the Prem next season, they'd be nailed on for a promotion spot in the Champ meaning one less for us to try to scrap for.
Quite a few 1st team players out too! Ismaila Sarr (knee), Emmanuel Dennis (knee), Joshua King (illness), Kiko Femenia (illness), Juraj Kucka (knee), Shaq Forde (ankle), Tom Cleverley (ribs) and Nicolas N'koulou (groin) join Imran Louza and Cucho Hernandez (hamstring) in the treatment room in the wake of their relegation-confirming defeat to Crystal Palace. Additionally, Hassane Kamara will miss the match through suspension after picking up a red card in the 1-0 loss at Selhurst Park, while Kwadwo Baah is away on international duty with the German youth squad. It's going to be an interesting line up! Who is Shaq Forde??
Young striker scored a few for the Under 23s. Cannot play youngsters who have been out on loan it seems Shame as they would have taken the chance to try and impress. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/20126861.watfords-returning-loan-players-cannot-play-premier-league/
Afraid I won't be joining you tomorrow night. Seems like we will have to put the reserves out! I would like to see Everton relegated but agree that is not in our best interests. Enjoy the game all.
Has played for the U18s & U23s this season, as well as had a loan spell at Kings Langley. Just turned 18 last week - made his senior debut in January in the cup match at Leicester when he replaced Pedro in the second half. Lord knows who'll replace that lot. Maybe Ngakia for Kiko, Masina for Kamara, Etebo for Kucka, Gosling for Cleverley? About the only fit forward we have now is Kalu - maybe a front three of him, Sema and Cukur? I think Everton may well exact serious revenge for the 2-5 drubbing we gave them at their place.
With those players out and The Foxes coming to fortress Vic next, this could well be a lucky 13 home losses on the bounce. WE ARE RECORD BREAKERS!!
Would be the best night ever at Vicarage Road if we turned over that bunch of scum Richarlison and Doucoure to be booed non stop and Richarlison sent of for driving and dissent As for teams going down, us and Norwich get rid of the overpaid show ponies who have let us down Everton go down, massive fire sale and a points deduction for breaking all financial rules Burnley go down, massive financial hit and selling all, the players they can get money for Leeds go down and all their top players sold ( quite a few will be going even if they stay up)
My son and grandson bought a couple of tickets for the game at Watford against Leeds from someone who couldn't go at the last minute. They travelled down from Leeds, but were not allowed in as they had not been the original ticket buyer. Not sure what checks are carried out these days.
