After a week of madness when we played three games in six days, life for the players and staff has been better with a good break and a chance to regroup after the loss to Aston Villa in the 4th added minute.
Everton have lost just one of their last nine league matches now but they come off a poor draw with Newcastle after letting a 2-0 lead slip. The arrival of Carlo Ancelotti at Everton has seen an upturn in form but they do not look particularly tight at the back. Watford are playing good counter-attacking football under Pearson and they can upset the Everton defence, so we could be in for an entertaining game.

    Team News

As far as we know, Janmaat (Injured), Prodl (Injured), Cleverley (Injured), Sarr (Injured) and will not be available, but Kiko Femenia , Hughes , Welbeck , Chalobah may be fit enough to take part if required.

    For Everton
Unavailable: Gbamin (Injured), Andre Gomes (Injured)
Doubtful: Sigurdsson (Injured), Richarlison (Injured), Iwobi (Injured)
Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping to count on Richarlison, Iwobi and Sigurdsson for this match with the Brazilian the most likely of the three to return.

    Our Officials

    Referee: Craig Pawson.

Assistants: Lee Betts, Richard West. Fourth official: Keith Stroud. VAR: Jonathan Moss. Assistant VAR: Dan Cook.

    15 Brighton 24 -7 25
    16 Aston Villa 24 -14 25
    17 West Ham 24 -13 23
    18 Bournemouth 24 -14 23
    19 Watford 24 -15 23
    20 Norwich 24 -23 17

With West Ham losing in midweek the bottom of the table is very tight. Brighton are away at West Ham Saturday, Aston Villa are away to Bournemouth on the same day, so a win for Watford could move the bottom teams around in the table.

Thanks Dave. Away to Newcastle for the Canaries is one that you could win. Three points there would not leave you far behind. Good luck to them as well. <ok>

Welbeck and Hughes fit is good news.

Not such good news about Sarr.

No snake Silva to boo now!

I have a cunning plan. I think it goes like this:

NP "Troy, we are playing Villa on Sat"
TD "Didn't we play them recently gaffer, twice I think."
NP "Troy look at this swinging watch for a few seconds, isn't it lovely and full of diamonds"
    TD "Wooooooo"
NP "Are you going to score against Villa this weekend Troy?"
TD "I am 120% up for it and goals are guaranteed boss."

In reality, we need another win nad then another before we lose to Oghalo's UTd then Scoucepool.

    GOD tomorrow is important.

Dawson out injured. Good to see Welbeck and Hughes back on the bench.

Handy as Kabasele will have the pace to cope hopefully!

5 attackers on the bench and one defender.

    Afternoon all.
Up at 330am this morning to catch an early plane back from Innsbruck so this is a welcome diversion to prevent sleep coming on. The one good thing about the early departure is that I can hopefully watch the match.
Meantime I will play hunt the stream.
