Burnley will carry significant momentum into Friday's fixture after getting the better of Norwich City in Saturday's home clash to extend their unbeaten league run to 29 matches (W18, D11) As they look to maintain their unbeaten Championship home record, against Sheffield Utd. on Monday, Burnley will attempt to complete a league double in Friday's away meeting with Watford after recording a 2-1 victory in December's reverse fixture. Burnley have recorded 11 clean sheets in their previous 14 away league games, playing a key role in the Clarets establishing the division's best away record with 43 points from 21 road trips. Watford will still want to give a good account of themselves in Friday's tricky contest against a promotion contender, especially as they have the chance to extend their three-game unbeaten home run. Tom Cleverley's side have kept clean sheets in each of those three home outings since conceding a couple of goals in last month's 2-1 defeat against Millwall. They may at least draw some inspiration from the 1-0 victory they recorded in their most recent home meeting with Burnley in August 2022, giving them the chance to record back-to-back home victories over the Clarets for the first time in 30 years. Team News The Hornets were already heading into the Easter fixtures without Giorgi Chakvetadze, Kwadwo Baah and Yasser Larocui due to injuries, but now Nabizada – who has been in sparkling form for the Under-21s and Under-18s – is out for the remainder of the season. Defender Kevin Keben is set to feature for the first time since late February. The summer signing has made only four appearances totalling 154 minutes but his last two games – at home to Luton and away to Middlesbrough – brought six points and two clean sheets. Remarkable Goals Against record for Burnley this season ,will they be wary of Watfords rampant attackers though? Has to be said injuries not helping. Not sure the home players will be too 'energetic' up against a likely determined opposition, Expect Tom C will try to motivate Love the photo at the top, cant see the Concrete Terracing or Cinders used to stand on though
Well 0/0 might be our best bet against such a strong side but maybe the team will play better against the odds .
Do hope youre wrong, likely a good size attendance with decent weather including plenty of those Lancs Types, Crowd should be rewarded by goals but those Clarets dont seem to be too entertaining- am not trying to tempt fate !
