v v Another tough game against a side sitting 7th in the table on the same points as WBA in sixth position . Watford's last outing a 2-2 draw down in Plymouth us losing 1-0 nil to Burnley. Watford have won three of their last five games drawing one and losing one. Bristol City have one of the best records away from home in the championship and I'M going for a 2-1 away win.
How are the allotments around the away end looking this time of year? Watford? I we will not see a repeat of the memorable game where the ref sent off Bristol City players for the crime of having surnames starting with A, Allison, Atteveld and Aizelwood.
I don't think you have been for a long time. The end with the allotments has been the home end for years now.
Bristol City team predicted team vs Watford as Liam Manning set to consider formation change Bristol City travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford as they look to get back to winning ways in the Championship https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-city-team-predicted-team-9743840 Bristol City XI(4-2-3-1): Max O'Leary; Cam Pring, Rob Dickie, Luke McNally, Zak Vyner; Jason Knight, Marcus McGuane; Scott Twine, Max Bird, Yu Hirakawa; Nahki Wells
The only time I ever went to Watford with the intention of going to the game, it was called off - but I’d already driven nearly all the way and found out the game had been called off when we went to a pub for a bite to eat. The game was cancelled at the last minute. It must have been in the 1990s or early 2000s. Really annoying waste of time and diesel in my 7 seater 2.9L 4x4 I suppose it could have been worse - I only drove from Swindon. If I’d driven from Bishopsworth where I used to live it would have cost even more in both time and money!!
Last time I was atWatford we drew 1-1 and I think Scott Murray made his debut front the bench. It was the year, I think, we both went up and both managers were mates. 6/7k of our lot on the end with the allotments
Graham Taylor and John Ward. That was a very enjoyable season. 1997-8 I think. Loved it - on a par with SCs promotion double season for me. That season was the ONLY time I ever wanted the Gas to win. We were at home and I was in the Dolman watching a game - can’t remember who we were playing (Southend??), but Rovers were playing Watford at Vicarage Road. The Gas had a penalty and went 1-0 up. Watford recovered and won I think in the end but a Watford defeat would have sent us to the top of the league. ‘Feed the Goat……….’
Last time I went to Watford I bumped into an old friend. Said to him it looks familiar but never been here. To be told I have but was very pissed that day. Chatting to a friend on the weekend he said remember Watford when we were passing drinks out the offy. So I guess I have been before
Completely are utterly on top yet we cannot score our Achilles heel. Going to cost us big time come the seasons end. Battering them battering them-we are so powderpuff up front.
Think it was a McNally header that nearly gave us a deserved lead. Other than that not much up top but we're well organised. Any danger they have seems down our right side.
Typical. Winning all the stats except the important one. Dominant in all areas but 1-0 down. At least we have the best part of 45 mins to fix it.
