The Cherries, on the other hand, are undefeated in the new Championship campaign. Bournemouth came from behind to share the spoils with Cardiff City in Wales at the weekend, however the likes of King, Kelly, and Brooks are all likely to miss the match with injury. please log in to view this image An outstanding display from Ben against Blackburn. Let's hope he has a quiet Saturday lunchtime. ENJOY THE GAME WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD
They think we may be favourites to win this.... https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/first-team/media-view-expert-insight-on-watford-1-1/ Some good insights here...
Bournemouth actually played Cardiff in Wales last night - and it was Cardiff who came from behind to draw 1-1.
Foster's comments after the last game “It's a good win, a really good win, but we do need to be more ruthless and really nail teams and beat them four, five or 6-1. We were very good attacking wise and opened them up. We should have put the ball in the back of the net more than we did. We need to nail teams and kill them off. We need to put a marker down for other teams to take note.” One can but hope to high heavens that this will start on Saturday at the unearthly time of 6:30am here. Funny, how Eddie's little topboard experts went down when VAR came into play. Hope that the ref can see through their antics. COYH!!
Vladimir has hinted that there may be an additional returning player tomorrow to add to the squad. Anyone care to speculate as to who it might be? Will Hughes perhaps?
He has only confused me. “I believe we will have the same squad [against Bournemouth],” said Ivić. “From the players who were out of the previous game, maybe there will be one extra player who can be in the squad for the next game, but I want to keep this [information] for myself.” As he thinks he'll have the same squad for Bournemouth, by 'the next game' does he mean the Wycombe match on Tuesday? If he does mean Bournemouth, then someone will have to drop out of the matchday squad. So on the assumption that Kiko may have taken a knock against Blackburn, he could be replaced by Hughes? My head hurts...
All games are important.. But with reading and Bristol at home... A win against Bournemouth will be really helpful... This will be a good measure too of how we are developing....... Not one to lose eh....
A bit of squad rotation at work here by the look of things. Wilmot, Femenía & João Pedro out, Troost-Ekong, Ngakia & Perica in.
Gone for a more natural striker up front - mind you Pedro is probably better than Sarr as a striker. Defence was a bit sloppy Wednesday so maybe not surprised to see changes.
Am not sure that Wilmot was the sloppy one though - for me it was a toss up between Cathcart and Kabasele. Kabasele can run hot and cold - I just hope that today is one of his hot days. Of the seven on the bench, I think there are four unlucky not to be starting - but I guess that's what rotation is all about. One of them won't get any game time today - I wonder which one?
Afternoon all, big game this, should show how good we are. Games are coming thick & fast eh, the Scullionette will start accusing me of being a football obsessive soon!
