So for both teams points are vital if they hope for promotion or avoid relegation. Transfer news:The Hornets have completed the signing of Ben Watson and the former Wigan Athletic midfielder should be in the Golden Boys’ squad tomorrow. Blackpool added young Bolton defender Niall Maher on a busy day of activity at Bloomfield Road. They also extended the contract of ex-Watford defender Nyron Nosworthy. Team News: Sean Murray will miss Saturday's game against Blackpool, as will Almen Abdi (knee), Fernando Forestieri (hamstring) and Joel Ekstrand (lower back). Lee Clark has been handed a major boost with the news Ishmael Miller is now fully fit to return to the side, but rocked by injury to Grant Hall, after his tearing his ankle ligaments in training. The views from the Coaches: Watford: “I believe we are going to find a more complicated game than we found against Charlton, and Blackpool aren’t going to give us so many facilities that we had in the last game. I expect something different, but everything depends on what we’re going to do in the game. “It’s not enough after one game to be happy and think that everything is done and we are a very good team. Saturday is a new examination. Blackpool: "No team in the world is unbeatable. They're a very good team, I'm not denying it, but we can go there and win. We need to stick to the game plan without the ball and really express ourselves and be good in possession of it. Form Guide: Watford have won only two of their last five games at Vicarage Road, losing the other three. Blackpool have not won any of their 15 away games in all competitions this season. Wherever you are in the world enjoy the game.
we dont do well in these type of games .if we are going to get in the top 2 we must win most of the easyer games im going for 3 nil to us
After last weeks performance, I sm dreading this game - we always seem to trip up against a team we should be able to overturn fairly easily. But ever the optimist, I am back to my normal 3-1 home win. It will be a mark of the coach that he can get the team to repels last weeks domination. Nice one Frenchie
Blackpool haven't won away all season, this is exactly the kind of game we could easily lose...i dread it too! However, like w_y i am ever the optimist and nothing but wild horses could drag me away from my usual 3-1! Thanks for the excellent thread M Frenchie
Should be a great atmosphere and, whilst his passing was sad, it will be nice to pay a proper tribute to Ken Furphy. You know I don't make predictions and I hope you will all thank me for that come May!Thanks OFH and Mex for the threads.
It could be the proverbial banana skin. But with some of the other front-runners dropping points during the week, a good win would put us right back in the nosebleed places. And nice work Frenchie.
I'm going, which unfortunately fills me with a bit of dread too in terms of the result (my last two games haven't been great). I'm not going to predict but just hope for a win to keep the pressure on. In the SEJ stand so will get a good look at that too. COYH!
Need to be straight at them from the first whistle. Get an early goal and they could crumple like a sand castle in the tide. No prisoners, no pity, we still need to improve our goal difference significantly. Whilst Blackpool have improved they're still fragile, we need to make sure we take our opportunities as they will doubtless keep ten men behind the ball and look to break or win set pieces. The proverbial banana skin indeed.
It is a banana skin game - however if we cannot get our mind set right to win at home, especially against the bottom side then we should question whether we should be in the top half let alone top six. We have to stop this win one lose one sequence. Blackpool can't prevent us winning - only we can do that.
