I really hope the AT rumours are true!! It'd be worth spending a few more £100000s on him than Wiggins (sp?). He's already proved he fits into our side and he can also play left-wing. If we get him I'll start having real hopes for next season!!
I posted that when it was released yesterday, but like you say no harm in duplicate news, just shows we are all keen to show what is happening
A thought - if Bournemouth want £500k for Wiggins, that would be a £3000 extra a week on a 3 year contract for a player on a free, or £2000 a week extra plus a tidy little signing on fee for Taylor!
I also think, as the rumours site states, that it would be a real statement of intent from Baz (more than any other realistic target) and one in the eye for Malky on top of Dychey staying.
That would be sweet if it happened , but I dont want the club breaking the pay structure that is in place ,and in place for a very good reason!
It would set the wrong precedent, breaking our strict wage structure! We simply must not break it for just one player!
A large signing on fee would not have to be disclosed, though, and could even be staggered. After all there has to be some advantage to signing a player out of contract.

Having thought about this, a structured signing on fee (£400k spread over three years, £100k paid up front, and £100k paid at the end of every completed season) makes Taylor just about possible within our wage structure. Still convinced that Cardiff are willing to blow us out of the water financially, even if they are using money that they may or may not have.
