So Chalobah is going to Forest http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24169027 Very disappointed by this news, I didn't think we would get him back, but that is because I assumed he would stay at Chelsea or get loaned to a prem side. I don't see why he would want to go to forest over us, or why we would want to let him go there. I am pretty sure this will come to haunt us when we play Forest away! I don't understand why, if they were going to loan him to a Champ side, Chelsea didn't loan him to us, give we took god care of him last season and saw him progress so much under our guidance? Are they paying a higher % of his salary?
Sadly it came down to money over the kids development. Chelsea wanted a club to pay most of his salary and we couldn't afford it.
I am not really sure Chalobah will get on with Billy Davies....he is not known for his soft skills with his players. We have missed out here on an excellent player, but I feel it is absolutely right that we did not allow ourselves to be held to ransom by Chelski. Moving on I am sure that we will find the right player out there, or one of the other players will step up to the mark. I know it has been said by many before me, but I will add my name to supporters that say we need another striker. WE desparately need some one that will get in behind the oppositions back four, spins off the last man or jsut generally goes beyond Troy. Having this sort of player stops teams pressing us higher up the pitch as they are scared of the damage this sort of player can do, meaning they sit a little deeper. This then creates space in the midfield where we know we can do damage.
I'm disaapointed he didn't come back, but not devestated. The biggest problem is he has gone to a promotion 'rival'. It did seem the lad wanted to come back but we weren't willing to pay a high enough percentage of his £35k a week wage - and if that is the case, well done to the board. We can't pay silly money for a player we don't even own. It is a shame but I would like to see how we can develop the likes of Smith, and how McGugan plays alongside Iriney, and behind Abdi, before thinking it's too much of a disaster I thnk Abdi is a pretty big loss at the moment, and is a big reason why Zola is tinkering with the system. I also think we are missing that finishing talent of Vydra too.
Official #watfordfc @watfordfcsays #watfordfc have signed Josh McEachran on loan from Chelsea until January 2. The midfielder will join up with the squad after tomorrow's game WOW!!!!!!
He plays in the center and can defend as well as open up defences. I think he will be a huge asset to us in breaking down defences in slow tight games.
Cheers OFH and Dan. I've asked the Chelsae fans on here too so see what they say.... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/229998-McEachran
Good to see the club moving quickly on to the next target. Sure he will have a point to prove and by all account did well for Middlesbrough at this level.
All this will show how players respond to different coaching methods. Will NC thrive at Forest as he did with us? Will McEachran blossom with our coaching?
Britt has split loyalties (with a country he has only lived in for 8 months) Good news for the lad though....http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24160080
Just fancy that. A waiting list at WFC for season tickets. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130930-st-12000-1086471.aspx
Great news OFH. With the bigger crowds and the brilliant efforts of 1881' the atmosphere is becoming incredible.
I wanted to put a rumour on the rumour website but you have to register now. Alfreð Finnbogason the Ãslandic striker at Herenveen will be joining Watford on loan as a partner for Troy Deeney.
