im surprised they have approached us for MM to behonest as they arent rolling in it and would have to pay compensation hence why Watford and Bas would have to refuse their approach in order to get maximum compo, be intresting to see how this one evolves. but my gut feeling is he wont go as 1) they need rebuilding 2) poor funds 3) MM is already rebuilding Watford 4) MM knows how our situation is with Watford (why go to the unknow) 5) MM knows he has to develop more to be considered a competent manager and will be allowed time to achive this with us and no pressure 6) i think MM would like to keep working with our youth 7) i do belive he is a man with loyalties and appreciates the oppertunity and belive watford have shown towards MM
HH i have to agree 100% with everything you have just said. Malky is not stupid and he knows where his interests are best served and where he is loved. A scotsman in Sheep country will be interesting.
Bassini has made the right noises here. Mackay has a long contract and, theoretically at least, we hold all the cards. The ball is now, however, firnly in Mackay's court. Football has shown us countless times that if a player or manager is determined to leave, there is sod all his employer can do. I would sincerely hope that Mackay, having only recently signed such a long-term deal with us (and no doubt on significantly improved terms), will continue the good work he is doing at Vicarage Road. If he keeps on in the same vein, there will be better opportunities for him than the Cardiff job and he will go with everyone's blessing.
it would be nice to hear something from MM...but this surprised and pleased me greatly! The ball rolls on...i wonder where it will stop...
There is no way that MM ios leaving now in my opinion, this really does show that Bassini has a little bit of sense, MM knows now that he is not being pushed out of the club, he has seen the support he has and has no reason to leave
Just hearing the rumour that the board will take up to a week to allow Cardiff to talk to Malky...hmm... Also, the Cardiff board have been determined to get MM for a while, and "will get their man eventually".. Not liking this interview, why am i listening??! Came to it half way through, i have no idea who it is! lol
Sounds like head in the sand stuff from the board.... maybe if they stick their fingers in their ears and go 'lalalalalalalala', Cardiff will eventually go away!
