Only another 9 days to go before it all starts up again. Judging by the feeback I have received I have left the scorings system, and rules, the same as last year. Just for anyone that doesn't know them here they are again:

Perfect scoreline (eg. 3-1 and the result actually is 3-1) = 25 points
Correct home win, wrong scoreline (eg. 1-0 against 3-0) = 3 points
Correct away win, wrong scoreline (eg. 0-1 against 0-3) = 5 points
Correct draw wrong scoreline (eg. 0-0 against 1-1) = 4 points (+bonus 5) = 9 points
Correct result and score difference (eg. 1-0 against 2-1) = an extra 5 points.

There is a 20 point bonus for being the only one to tip a perfect scoreline (eg. Liverpool v Man. Utd 4-0, and you are the only one to get this). This ruling only applies if more than 20 posters are taking part.

Anything you score on Watford is doubled (including any bonus).

You have a joker which can be played on any of the other 9 matches (other than the Horns) and points scored on this will also be doubled (including bonuses).

There is a bonus of 50 points in the unlikely event of someone scoring points on all 10 matches in one round.

Repetition of the same scoreline is only allowed up to 4 times - the fifth will be discarded. To clarify this 1-0 is not the same as 0-1. The reason for this is that it is possible to tip 1-1 for every single fixture and actually do very well on this basis.

Tips can be posted up to kick off times for respective matches.
Like last season I will be avoiding Friday night and Monday night games (unless Watford are involved), and keeping it as a weekend thing. Extra matches will be taken from other divisions to make up the numbers. The first set of fixtures will be in the next post.

Hi Bodbo, good to have you on board. Norwich v West Brom is there because we always have 10 matches per round and I avoid Friday night and Monday night fixtures - so if we have 10 premiership fixtures at the weekend then all well and good, if not then I nick a fixture from another league to make up the numbers. Also Canary Dave is on here as well, so the Norwich match is often the odd one. Also, you have a joker which can be played on any one of the other matches (apart from Watford) and anything you score on that will be doubled - Watford matches are doubled anyway. All you have to do is put 'joker' or (J) after the chosen match.

Many thanks. I should have read the intro more closely. I’ll resubmit with my joker.
BTW. I recommend anyone to read ‘The Numbers Game ‘. Debunks a lot of myths peddles by ‘pundits’. Their only role is to increase interest. Hence their theory (all of them) that it’s goals scored that keeps you up. It isn’t! It’s clean sheets. Also, if you score 1goal, just 1 every game you will stay up. And so on
