Same team as monday apart from Pedro for Willian.Like to think we can win this one
and keep a clean sheet.Thoughts chaps.

Watford is a bit of an unknown at the moment. Gomes is a liability and Deeney, Capoue and Igalho seem like the only decent players.

Edit: Forgot about Behrami as well. CFC should still win this.

win we did !!

boy o boy. Michy looks a player. Hope he keeps his cool.
What a finish and what a hit against the bar.

Moses is so ****ing underrated. Best sub ever.
He gives that defensive cover. Attacking threat with his pace & skills.
If there is one Nigerian I would love to have in our team is Moses !!!!

Kante is immense again. May be trying little too hard to be in every square inch of the pitch.
He should curb his instinct tad bit.

Conte is superb in wielding the changes.
Fab change is a masterstroke. Fab should start next match over Oscar!!

Costa walked tight rope again. For **** sakes - got first yellow for arguing for second ****ing match.
Not going to help against Manchester teams or clever oppositions.

Watford will do alright - they look gritty and has a clever manager in Walter.

For 70 minutes we were absolutely awful, i was falling asleep. Fortunately the subs livened it up a bit and bailed us out.

Matic offers absolutely nothing in this system, i'd play Cesc next week. Guaranteed a couple of chances a game if he's in midfield. Nice to have maximum points so far but plenty of room for improvement.

Also we want to use Cesc as much as possible before the New Year, when he will inevitably become ****, as he does every year.

i seen where you are coming from but with the 5 man midfield they played and the 2 fbs bombing forwards, i can understand why he left matic in there, with cesc in all likleyhood we would have been swamped IMHO, agreed we can improve, but we are ticking along quite nicley. We just need to move the ball faster, which fabregas will deffo help with.

I also like the idea of going to 442 from the off. We need to try it because when those to (costa and batshuayi) play toghter, they make things happen.

Got to praise the lads that went down consistent support throughout.

Also got to say oscar had a good game as well, especially in the second half when he peeled off more to the right, the balls he was putting in we exceptional, but with costa against 3 on his own it was unlikey he was ever going to get to them.

Pedro has no place for me in our squad, he offers absolutley nothing to the point where players were reluctant to pass to him. Moses when he comes on gives pace directness and a physical presence on the wing-he deserves to be back up whenever willian or hazard is out.

Lastly i think its clear we need a CB but if the quality isn't there i would be happy with our options, especially if zouma comes back healthy. A fullback would be nice to give us more width and attacking clout down the left, a striker also for depth is needed as remy seems to e out on his ear. I also think we need to loan an experienced winger to cover injuries/supensions too, Kennedy needs week in week out footy, and pedro and cuadrado are abysmal.

6/6 we beat west ham, and we got over the line against a very good watford side. I'm "veriappi", and waiting for the improvement i know we can attain. on to the next game COYBS!!!!

great post George <ok>

I was surprised when Oscar came off - becuase he was providing some vital crosses.
But I won't pull Matic before Oscar either given our suspect defense .
So I undersood Conte's decision.

Only issue with Cesc pairing Kante will be that our Defense will be exposed too much.
Pedro is hot or too cold, never consistent. May be Cesc may provide him some good link balls to play.

Cynic in me thinks - Costa is trying too hard to get sent off.
After the first match he gave an interview saying he didn't know that arguing with ref is Definite yellow.
FFS - he does the same ****ing thing in the second match?

Mandukic rumours everywhere. Won't be too fussed if Costa leaves TBH.

If Kante can play in a two man midfield with Danny ****ing Drinkwater then he can definitely play in one with Cesc.

Don't think we need a winger either, probably our most stocked position. We paid 20 odd million for Pedro and Cuadrado so we need to start making use of what we've got and stop wasting money. I agree that Pedro is inconsistent but i just don't think Cuadrado has had an opportunity at all.

Definitely need two defenders though, preferably a Left Back first. I don't understand why it's taking so long!

CM / DM position needs legs more than brains.
I know Kante carried Drinkwater. But Drinkwater legs are not bad at all, whereas Fab has no legs.
Also Leicester back 4 last season & even this season is lot better than our back 4.
It is not an accurate comparison.

So Wes Morgan who has played the majority of his career in the Championship and Robert Huth who we once got rid of are better defenders than a former England captain and a current England international? Sure they excelled last year but never in a million years would you want Morgan & Huth over JT & Cahill.

Defense is always sum of all 4 and not individual laurels.

Dave is suspect in dealing with the crosses on the left side.
Ivan legs are gone for sometime.
JT has only positional awareness.
Cahill has nothing of note tbh.

I rate Simpson, Morgan, Huth & Fuchs more than our back 4.

Maybe Kante made them look good last season, only time will tell.

Thats what i am going with <whistle>

Our back 4 is so suspect. With Huth Morgan Fuchs and Simpson, they stay in a line of 4 and really its just Fuchs who wonders up every now and again. Also they play a deepline and like to counter rather than build the play.

With our wonder 4, Ivans in the opposition half most of the time and even dave is attacking a bit. Our line is normally much higher and with Cahill and Terry as a back 2 i just don't trust them as much as what Leicester do.

As for Kante carrying drinkwater, of course he was but to even compare fab to drinkwater defensively is a travesty. Fab is gassed out after 1 run whereas drinky whilst not quick, has legs and gets around. Also Fab is soft as **** and anyone can breeze past him whereas drinky is a dirty motherfucker cause thats all he knows

this!!

we are not looking for all time best defense, but who is better at this given time.

or Fab could be an super sub.

When defenses are tiring - he can come on in and produce the magical performance like he did at Watford?

Atleast he won't be worn out by New Years.

We should get on the blower to Emenalo, tell him we want Drinkwater and offer them Cesc. Unbelievable what I'm reading.

Ok - no one is saying Drinkwater > Fab.
Just Drinkwater has better legs than Fab.

I will explain better.

Messi = Legs + Brain

Fab = Messi - Legs
Drinkwater = Messi - Brain
Mikel = Messi - (Brain + Legs)

Got it??

Lol slight overreaction. Agree with standman. No one is saying drinkwater is better than fab.

Just better at defending and being solid.

You wouldnt argue that messi is stronger or a better header defensively than JT. Why would you argue the same in cesc vs drinkwater.
