so from august till dec the lads had the tightest defence in the league, then jan and especially feb something has gone really pear shaped, can anyone put a finger on just what it is? turner? midfield not helping? or just plain unlucky? maybe change of formation, new players, but these new players are supposed to be a better calibre than what we already have, how can a team managed by a top class defender get the fundamentals so wrong. is there an underlying problem or just pure back luck/ ive no idea as syd pointed out in another thread its a team full of internationals

Seems that after Turner was lost, with Titus and Anton in the middle, we looked strong. ordon seemed confident with those two, Bardo and Ned worked well with them then, we tried 5 at the back and it started to look slack.

If fit I want Gordon back, I know he looked a little risky but he is our number one so stick with him.
Turner looks like being out for some time so lets get back to Titus and Anton, Titus needs confidence and he seems to have lost a bit, with Anton he could regain it.

Bardo at LB is a no brainer and Ned if fit, Elmo or Angeleri, I know, if not.

We need to get back to settled back 4 and stick with it.

I think it's mainly Turner, if our defence had stayed the same throughout the season it would have been MUCH better. I think Cattermole is a really key thing; Titus' main job, when he got the ball, was to pass it to Catts then hurry back into defence. When fit, our team is unbeatable, but when we lose a few we lose a lot of quality and confidence.

Sometimes the best defense is a good offense. One up front just doesn't seem to be working. Come back soon Danny.

Personally Think that we miss Cattermole to me our defence don't have the confidence they did with him in front of them. Who do you think we could have there while he's out, while I'm on the subject of the Midfield who thinks that Jordan could do with a rest? I love the lad but he looks like he's struggling a wee bit, and is just not match fit.
