Watching With Interest

To all you Saints fans Saturday
When Villa come to town,
This one could be just the fray
To help remove the frowns

It will be with interest too
That I follow this spree,
A win here would help to do
Much good down by the sea

For Adkins N. read Lambert P.
That´s in my view at least,
They´ve trod the same path you see
From lower league to feast

And I see no reason why
Adkins won´t have success,
He seems too to have an eye
For talent he can press

And we know first hand last year
How much Lambert improved,
And I´d back Adkins down there
To follow the same groove

So I fancy that you lot
When 5 o´clock comes round,
Will have gladly stopped the rot
And found points on your ground

It would make it all the more
Interesting if you did,
So the table´s lower drawer
Won´t have one team to skid

The more of those who can stay
In contention each week,
The better ´twill be come May
When things all reach a peak.
