Can anyone recommend a bar or similar in San Francisco that shows Premier League games?
I'm going to be there for the Man U game so maybe the later kick off time helps ?

    Thanks in advance

Great thing on the inter web called Google. Type in "bars showing Premier League football in San Francisco" or something similar and, as if by magic, names of the bars pop up on your screen.
Modern technology, it is like a miracle. What will they think of next?

I actually thought someone might have been and could recommend a good one and that a forum of City fans would be a good place to ask - but hey silly me!

You'll be lucky. Unfortunately San Fran is a hotbed for Rugby League.

A Rovers fan once claimed on RH Talksport that everywhere he went when people found out he was from Hull they wanted to talk about Rovers. At least they read out my email saying I could just imagine him walking in a bar in Chicago and someone saying "That's enough about the Bears youse guys. Dis guy is from Hull. Who is going to win the Derby then?".

Yes but it is so big they have wall to wall, round the clock transmissions of games past and present.

Oddly enough a lot of bars show rugby union. Union is more widely played at university in a lot of areas over there than the traditional sports as it is more easily accessible.

My cousin lives in New York and says you wouldn't believe the interest. Honestly.

I had a nightmare trying to find someone showing an England game in New York, I ran from bar to bar trying to find one that was showing it. Finally I found one, they charged me $20 to get in and and I missed Beckham scoring while I was having a cig outside. <laugh>

I'd suggest 440 Castro, The powerhouse, Moby Dick or Aunt Charlie's Lounge. <ok>

I've been, but didn't watch any English sports
You might find some options down near Pier 39 , but to be fair I've struggled in other places in the States to watch non US sports

To be honest your best bet is to ask the hotel...that's what concierges are for :emoticon-0103-cool:

OK, I didn't try in San Fransisco, but certainly struggled in Washington to watch some boxing

Thinking about it I've only watched football once in the States and that was in a pool in Disney

I normally just watch whatever the locals are watching and normally enjoy it

Mad Dog in the Fog (530 Haight, San Francisco): The recent remodel is controversial; it's less of a dive, which is a mixed blessing. One of the best places in the city to watch important football fixtures, though while it has pub food, it may be better to drink your breakfast.
