    Such a pity we could not get this speedy man mountain to QPR.Serious defensive backbone!

    Hopefully he might get miffed that their new signing, Etu, is on £350k per week and come to LR in January.

    For me getting him for even 10 million in the summer is what is needed. im sure TF has heard the saying speculate to accumulate.. with the money teh following season been so good im sure staying up with out weight any price paid,
    I would love to see shane long there also.
    would be a great addition to the squad even if he doesn't fit the age profile..

    If we're going to go after Samba or Dawson or any similar CB colossus, it's got to be in January, we may not be able to attract them to the championship if we wait until the summer; that's not pessimism, it's a pretty reasonable extrapolation.

    Not sure I would call a 1.5m loan fee for a season long loan of an England striker throwing money around.

    Also, we don't have a "problem" to throw money at. With Carrol, we are just enhancing our suddenly well run, well managed squad.
