Yes there was, The most successful English team beat Liverpool 2-1 It was a good game, bar a few silly moments at the start, middle and end
Yes, you were the better side and thoroughly deserved your win but that's not what you should concentrate on. C'mon it's not actually about the football you know!
I'm glad that for once we actually performed against Liverpool, though I did think that we should have pushed on and finished them off when we went 2 0 ahead. So many times this season we have played keep ball instead of finishing the opposition off when we were on top.
We were just poor yesterday, what little drive to chase the game went out of us after the errors cost us the goals. I thought at that point you lot would go on the rampage. Valencia looked a class act yesterday & should have got the MOM. Honestly don't think you lot have enough to clinch it this year but hey you've proven others wrong before on that score. We need some new acquisitions to start performing or be shown the door in the summer.
I believe there was a game of something called "football" played yesterday. It was the half time entertainment during the World Handshaking Championships...
There was a point after Rooney's goal where I thought you would run rampant. For the first time in the game our defence looked really shakey and rattled and we were leaving large gaps whilst trying to get a goal. Glad it will go down in the history books a 2-1 and not more!
To answer your question OP. Yes, there was a game yesterday. Not just one game, but a plethora of FIFA organised matches played around the world for the visual pleasure of many grateful fans.
No, there was a petty squabble between two players and some of them even refused to take part in a meaningless pre-match formality. No wonder no one cares about United beating Liverpool in a brilliant game
