I assume you are on about the Borini incident when he was running down the left hand side of their box. I am in the east stand and it definitely looked a foul but could not tell if it was in or outside the box - anyone see it on the tv?

 

It was a penalty.

Happily it wasn't 1-0 to Southampton with a minute to go ...... who could we have trusted to deliberately miss the penalty?

 

I think it was, it wasn't two players physically coming together to battle for the ball, Borini was checked off the ball by the opponents hip.

Arrived late and missed that but from that gif it's a clear penalty. Linesman should have given it. Ref can't see the angle of contact so understand why he might not give it

 

Find the gif from it's source (if you're on google getting your gif, view the gif directly) right click, copy url (I'm on chrome), then on the forum, click the little picture frame from your reply control panel (it next to the film reel) click the url option, paste the gif url and uncheck the box(very important) and there you have it. Test it on the above gif.

Gus was class with the linesman... Watching on BT and it zoomed in on Gus when the linesman had given offside and you could clearly hear him say "oh OK you give the easy ones eh?" A few times.... Class that bloke I love him
