He said in his interview that he was disappointed not to get all 3 points. Stoke took the 2nd half by storm. Did I miss something. Did we get all the breaks, I didn't think we did. Also, was Pogs challenge that bad? Did he make contact? Any thoughts? Steve
Pulis is never right. For a guy that instructs his teams to be as forceful as possible when tackling he takes a surprising stance when it happens to one of his team. Pog's challenge wasn't that bad and merited a yellow card, if Huth's challenge wasn't worthy of a red card then the ban would have been rescinded but it wasn't. We were the only ones looking to score at 2-1 and should have done via Dempsey. I don't remember too many saves Mark having to make.
He is talking nonsense. They came harder but at no point they really had us on the ropes or deserved the 3 points. As for Pog he gave back what he received. He got some late nasty challenges at the back of his legs and was being pushed and elbowed in a few occasions. Didn't see Pulis complaining about Wilkinson in previous games against us and the fouls in the last minutes of the game...
Not to mention the Palacios 'professional' foul on Dempsey from behind. The second in about 10 minutes from one of his players and could easily have been red rather than yellow. Wonder if Pulis will include that in his video to the FA?
He was clearly not at the same match that I went to; nor the one seen by many Stoke supporters from the look of their site. I thought Stoke had moved on, but appeared to be stuck in one-dimensional play on Saturday, which deserved nothing from the game. As I mentioned on the MOTD thread, he's in no position to take offence Pog's takle on Palacios, especially given the three tackles targetted at Clint, including by Palacios. Pot-Kettle-Black is spot on.
