What do you think of Gabbidon and Hill (please note HILL) as CBs against Arsenal as Ferdinand seems to be out.
Thought apart from tackling with the wrong foot for Grahams' goal he did ok.

Pretty sure Gabs can't play two games in three days so my guess is NW is saving him for arsenal. As most fans noted here earlier, Hill is a decent CB. Should be well ahead of Hall. Gabs and Hill should start v arsenal, I hear ferdinand should be back for Norwich??

I thought Hall did alright, give the guy a break. Hill did well also but where was he for the goal?

Young should not have left Graham get the shot away.

I wasn't having a dig at Hill. It was a genuine question, where was he for the goal?

Hall lost Graham when he made the run before the cross came in. Hill wasn't. Young tried to block the shot (after Graham played basket ball) with his wrong foot.
I thought Hall looked out of his depth tbh, although he did improve in the 2nd half!

I genuinely thought thought Hall had a good game making some good blocks apart from the goal where he lost Graham.

I thought that was Hall's best game in an R's shirt for as long as i can remember. Yeah he was marking Graham for the goal but from the position Hall put him in the only chance he had of scoring was sticking it right, right in the bottom corner. And he needed a helping hand.

Stop Hall bashing. He's being made a scapegoat all the time and was excellent today.

The intereception followed by 30-40 yard pass to Mackie springs to mind let alone the bicycle kick clearance which stopped Graham going through on goal.

Hall had one of his better games. He looked more assured than Connolly did against Sunderland

I thought Hall played okay, which for me to say that means he must of had a good game. In fairness for the goal, he was unsighted as Young was directly in front of him, saying that it was a heck of a finish by Graham.

I don't think there'll be any changes after the second half display at Swansea, Warnock usually sticks with a line-up when possible...

I thought the 2 H's did all right against Swansea though they will surely have a tougher ride against arsenal. In fact our CB's scare the life out of me, particularly against quick stikers! Seeing that Connolly and Gabbidon were terrible against Sunderland I won't be surprised if the 2 H's start again, if Anton ain't back. I have never quite understood all the criticism of Hall, have seen him have good games and he did ok tuesday, and a bit more than that 2nd half.

I can't see why so many people are having a go at one size, apart from the goal where Young managed to get in front of Hall, and who should have stopped Graham, I thought Hall had an excellent game. I suggest a few of you have a look back at the match.

Gabbidon isn't Premiership quality anymore, if he ever was. As for the Arsenal match I think it should be whoever is quicker out of him and Hill along side Hall. But whichever partnership it is, I get shivers down my spine just thinking about our back 4 against an in form Arsenal.

But again this match will be a milestone, because for the second time this season it will be goodbye with the old and in with the new. The second half of the season is going to be very interesting.

Anton being back would be as good as a new signing. The rest of the CBs can tackle but their positioning, without a marshall who can read the game at the back, is what's been missing and why we seem to get cut to pieces just by teams running at us.

Hall was terrible for about 40 mins of the first half but he didn't do much wrong and was actually kinda good in the second half.

Anyway, Hill is still quality in this league and is a great back up player at least. Let's see what he can do against Arsenal.

I rate Gabbs! He and Young have been our most consistent defenders so far.

I quite like Gabbidon and he is pretty quick. He does have the odd lapse in concentration though, which is fatal at this level. Gabbidon and Hill for me V Arsenal.
