Surprised they did not do it before...

The paper hasn't been given exclusive interviews with players or managers for the past 28 years but it was able to attend press conferences and cover matches.

But is it the right thing to do?

Anything that bans or restricts access to that dreadful, predatory rag, is fine by me!...

They're happy to take Sky's money though, which is the same company in all but name

It's probably a partial cop out, but they don't have much choice. The PL negotiate the TV rights for all PL clubs.

Sky just happened to be the highest bidder; which they have to be as nobody would give a toss about them otherwise.

yeah, but I'm pretty sure plenty of the locals supporting the ban are giving them money for subscriptions

    Yep.

The problem for Sky, BT, EPL is that the viewing rights to these games are now sold globally. As much as they can try to block transmission from UK based broadcasters, they can't stop the content from the middle and Far East from being accessed. Not to mention the USA.

Most of my Arsenal games are viewed on Kodi via canadian tv. It is probably the best country for prem football, even better than the UK lol
