In light of the recent revelations that some don't rate Faurlin, I ask, in jest, was Sir Les all that? :cheesy:

Les would have been my favourite player of recent times if he could only jump, possessed some pace ,and knew where the back of the net was.......<doh>

Big Les was 60 million quids worth. In a 1 on 1 with the keeper he would score 99% of the time, and the amount of goals he got with his speed chasing down back passes and worrying the keeper was something no other player could match

On a serious note, has anyone seen Anton's cousin ripping it up for Southend so far this season. His name is Kane and he's only 19 but he looks a player.Might be worth bringing in another Ferdinand for the future!!

Hammersmith -I have a mate who supports Southend and raves about Kane Ferndinand. Defo one to bring in (in Jan) and then maybe loan out and use next season.

I'm not slagging off the legend that is Sir Les BUT he did have periods during the season when he would vanish, possibly 'cos he was SO good and we expected him to be fantastic every game.
The guy is still and always will be a legend........
Anyone remember the score on his first appearence as a sub ??
