Andy Carroll = £35million - 6 apps since January, only two goals. Lots of injuries.

Fernando Torres = £50million - 11 apps, 1 goal. Still looks ****e even after that goal.

    Edin Dzeko = £27million - 13 apps, 1 goal

I know there have been plenty of successful signings, like Suarez and Luiz, but these are three of the biggest signings in Premier League history, and they've all been a bit ****e so far.

What a strange old month that was. Can anyone think of any other transfer windows which were worse than that?

I'd wait a year before judging, Carroll could be top scorer this time next season you never know
edit: but yeah I do agree it has been terrible looking at it now

Januarys always ****. Bents got a fair few for Villa and probably saved their season, while Carroll and Torres will both top 15 goals next season if they stay fit.

Has to be Torres, he currently looks worse than Ameobi. I know Dzeko cost a lot but he doesn't really suit Man City's style of play as they don't usually start with two out and out wingers. Also it's Dzeko's first time in the PL.

There was many poor signings, but there was also a great many good signings.

Bearing in mind, Dzeko has played mostly as a sub, and has actually scored 2 (one took a deflection off Silva on the way in.)

Yeah all-in-all it hasn't been TOO bad when you look at the positive signings. I just can't think of another transfer window where three of the most hyped and expensive players since the EPL began have all flopped so much within their first six months.

    Ah bollocks!
Should I start a new one suggesting feb as the best time for transfers?
