was it true we nearly signed keegan before simonsen?

    I did here a rumour recently that before we signed simonsen charlton bid £300k for kevin keegan back in the 80s i also heard he signed and theirs a photo taken somewhere with him holding a charlton scarf and in charlton kit in front of covered end ,but deal fell through at last minute has anyone else come across this photo of keegan ?????????

    i heard that keegan was photographed in the goal with a charlton scarf in the air or just wearing the kit i ve seen it but cant remember where

    Its true, it was on the BBC Sport website at 11.37 yesterday afternoon, but it was mysteriously taken down at 11.42. Take a look on the David Icke website, there's a whole page covering it.

    no straight up keegan actually signed but keegan had second thourghts and moved elsewhere i heard it was all signed sealed and delivered so to speak ,but keegan pulled out of the deal

    i think the deal was £325.000.00 which was a lot of cash for us back then i would have loved for keegan to have played for us

    Keegan or simmonsen...simmo for me loved the little magician during his brief tenure at the club.

    would have at time keegan be a good signing for the club would have been a bigger impact than simonsen i think

    If memory serves me correct, we actually signed Keegan's hair for 325k, not the man himself. It was that payment which sent the club towards financial oblivion.

    I hear that the offending thatch is now on show at the Bexhill-On-Sea Hair Museum and houses an endangered species of Earwig.
