Since i no longer live in Scotland, i no longer have the usual banter leading up to these games with friends and workmates. It makes the whole experience of watching Derby day all the better. No longer have to think about the bullshit thats going to be thrown around the workplace, what **** i gotta take off friends if we get beat, excuses about refs etc etc... Got up at 4am to watch this one online, and, **** me was it worth it. Only problem i had with the ref was the one or two tackles on Sammy that were not called. But seriously, why do some Celtic fans have to drag this poor us persona around with them, you make the whole ****ing lot of us look like whiney little bitches when things dont go our way. Cha was seriously outta position for the entire time he was on the pitch, should have been tucked in a bit tighter for the opener, and only himself to blame for letting Lee Wallace get goal side. Red card?? Maybe harsh, but if that was Sammy running through and Papac had pulled him back, we would be screaming for it. So i'm ok with the refs interpretation of it. Wanyama:- this **** swung legs at everything that moved, shoulda been booked for his waist high attack on Aluko in the first half and a sending off any day of the week. Just before he got sent off it showed the Celtic bench, Commons sitting there and im thinking how long till Wanyama is off for Commons. Thought the game changed a bit when Commons came on, not just because Rangers were 3 up, they wanted to batter in as many as they could so i dont believe they "coasted the last 10 mins" as has been suggested by some of there fans. We had no width until Commons came on, yes he's been ****e this season compared to last, but i thought he done more in the 10-15 mins that he played than Wanyama, Ki and Ledley put together. Not the result i was hopping for, you always want to beat your rivals. This is just a minor delay in the inevitable party that will follow.
The 4am may have got to you but it wasn't 3 nil when Commons was brought on. I can never recall in almost 50 years of watching Celtic and Rangers, Rangers ever having a player sent off for what Cha is alleged to have done. Simply never has happened. Approx 1 min later in the same spot Samaras was clearly fouled the ref did not give it and 15 secs later he gave a free against Samaras for less. Big Victor went in hard but feet firmly on ground and won the ball cleanly, a booking at worse. Last week defender dived in and took Stokes ankle, the ball yards away. Stokes sent off for diving. Maybe even with those examples you can see why we want rid of the cheaters. Again when their defender took down Sammy in 88th min. the ref spent an age before he gave him card and apologised with the friendly tap on the arm. Did Cha or Victor get an apology. Why did the ref not allow N. L back in dug out when Rangers could not guarantee his safety in Directors box. Surely if Rangers are that bad they should be banned from league. Even Hearts could provide a safe haven, but not on field. Is Rangers not able to provide a safe seat in Directors Box an admission that Rangers from the top down is not safe for N.Lennon or any successful Catholic from the North of Ireland.
Just like Mcculloch reckless challenge the week before at Tanniduce that only resulted in a booking . mcculloch should have been suspended yesterday . Why has your manager been allowed to get away with lying , yesterday he said he had injuries and suspensions !!! Who was suspended ???
McCulloch's a bastard. No one is disputing that. An ugly aids ridden looking **** of a bastard at that.
**** me super hooper, you really cant take the green goggles off for even a second can ya? As i pointed out in my OP, the beauty of not living in Scotland now, is that i dont have to listen to ****s like you whine and complain aboot everything that they never got from the ref. Refs make mistakes, they're ****ing human ffs. I dont suppose you've ever made a mistake no? Wanyamas feet are OFF the ground , but regardless, its not whether he was on the ground off the ground, won the ball, caught the player. YOU CANT GO IN WITH BOTH FEET PERIOD!!!!! He's a pro and should know better. Stop ****ing whining about all the things you never got and accept, from the first minute til the 80th, we deserved nothing. And that is exactly what we got. Why are you so hung up on things like, shoulda been a booking, shoulda been a free kick, we are miles ahead in the title race, just enjoy the overall gloating rites. Would you rather the shoe on the other foot??? You are a dictionary reference for the word MOPE!!! Take yourself on a wee holiday, get out the goldfish bowl and watch a game from the outside, without having to worry about what your friends and co-workers are going to say to ya the next day. Its a much more pleasurable experience and one that i think you really would benefit from. Take Harry while yer at it.
In a couple of weeks, yesterday's result will be forgotten, just another tiny wee footnote in Old Firm history.
Assuming Nurse Ratched doesn't revoke my internet privileges again, I'll be posting regular reminders.
You've got to remember that was a lot of Rangers players last old firm game at Ibrox yesterday , in the summer when these players are offski and the European draws are been made the reality of situation might finally hit home with our half wit friends from the other side.
As I've already said, if he gives the foul against Cha, he has to send him off. My problem with it is it wasn't a foul to begin with.
Same. I think Whittaker should have got a booking for a cynical rugby tackle on Izzy. Maybe then he might have thought twice before doing the same to Ledley in the box for a blatant pen just seconds later. Pissed off at the linesman for flagging Stokes off and allowing their second. I'm pissed off at Cha for switching off and giving the ref a decision and Victor was a red. No question. Whittaker was well over the ball and surely would have gone if Vic hadn't been so stupid.
This It just looks as if he lightly touched his shoulder with one hand, i'm surprised Wallace even noticed he'd been touched
Agree - the ref got it wrong in Cha Du-Ri's case - there was no foul. Wallace dived so should have received a yellow card. Victor Wanyama's tackle was dangerous even though there was little or no contact so I couldn't argue with the red card....except that we've seen yellows given in other instances where little/no contact was made. Red cards ruin the game as a contest and it seems that some referees are incapable of using proper discretion in the right circumstances thus, at times, they have an undue and ridiculous influence on the result.
Big game !!! Think of all your first round exits from the cups under super Ally before Administration , that was the only good thing about yesterday , will keep that muppet in charge of you for next season .Maybe it was our wee ploy !!!
Celtic would've been out of Europe as well but for getting in the backdoor, just how you like it eh? How many cup semis and finals is that now that Lennon's teams have been pumped in?
