Just logged on to find numerous stories about our Neil being sacked once we're promoted. Apart from anything else they are not helpful when there are still points to be gained to secure promotion in the first place. Potential replacements are already being banded about, Jol, Lippi et all. Surely Neil deserves a fair crack of the whip in the Premier league for what he's achieved this season. I imagine these rumours were started by Dave Jones in an attempt to destabilise our team spirit & lose our remaining games!
It's just nonsense If it did happen QPR would be a laughing stock and a favourite for all WUMS And to be honest with you ,who could blame them
We've got nothing but positive news coming out of our Club at the moment, not the sort of stuff papers want to print so expect more of this rubbish.
id piss my self laughing if this really did happen ,just shows the **** that goes around the internet any way good game yesterday
It wouldn't be the first time investors need assurances about where their money's going. If the stories were true there would be an excellent golden handshake in it for sir Neil. But as I've said before, the prem's the place that football (heart, passion, wet Saturdays and real glory) gives way to hard nosed business and pink newspapers. Without Warnock things just wouldn't be the same. It's been a fantastic season with a brilliant Yorkshireman and a 'mercurial' Moroccan reminding us all what got us adicted in the first place. If the stories were true, we should all emigrate to AFC Wimbledon on principle! But, the truth is most adictions take some licking and football adictions just don't go away at all. We'll all be back next year wearing plastic smiles watching one touch sprinters in hoops taking on les Arsenal, dreaming of days gone by. Sad ****ers we are!
Sorry to butt into your thread here but I just had to comment on this post. I'm a Hull City fan but I tend to look at all championship teams boards especially when we are getting ready to play them.Anyway it's amazing how many fans of the promotion race clubs are saying things similar to you Brixton. Sure they all kinda want to go up but a lot are very sceptical about life in the prem and for good reason. Refs always favour the so called top clubs, dodgy penalties and things like that, your wage budget goes through the roof because the Man Cities and Chelsea's of this world drive the price of a decent player out of your price range even if you can convince one to play for a relegation contender which any promoted side is automatically branded. Oh and good luck getting tickets for half the away games, if you are fortunate enough to get one of the 3000 tickets at the Emirates it will cost you about a hundred quid to get in. Hope you do well next season I really do but trust me getting into the prem is a hell of a lot more fun than actually being in it.
Thanks for your comments John. Hundred per cent agree with you from a fans' point of view. In pure footballing terms, the Championship is by far the best league. Bit of a sleepy game today with the result not particularly helping either side. Oh well...!
i am quite happy yo yoing up and down the divisions with little ol wycombe but if waddock leaves us at the end of the season we will take warnock off your hands ,he can team up with qpr legend gareth ainsworth
