Shows the regard he has for the club and the team, and that it was mutual. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/warnock-says-farewell-to-players/ Warnock says farewell to QPR players 10/01/2012 by David McIntyre Neil Warnock was at QPRâs training ground this morning to say goodbye to the players following his sacking as manager. He was accompanied at Harlington by assistant boss Mick Jones and first-team coach Keith Curle, who also lost their jobs when Warnock was axed on Sunday. Warnockâs 22-month spell at Loftus Road ended after a run of nine matches without a win. Mark Hughes is expected to be confirmed as his successor later today.
Neil should be proud of what he achieved. Promotion was against overwhelming odds personified in the f*ckwits that owned the Club at the time. Just typed "most promotions achieved by a manager in english football" into Google and the top result was Neil Warnock. He should retire now and not consider this season a failure but look back at a great career.
I cannot recall the last time a manger was 'sacked' and there was so much mutual good will from players, fans and even the owners. The man is a QPR legend. When does he get is statue?!
he's gone with the knowledge that he's achieved something special & was unfortunet not to see it through, neil you got us back to prem i thank you.
